100 Million BC
Would you “visit ” this rather interesting location for 100 million dollars?
Posted by in One Million Years B.C. - (4 Comments)An eccentric and wealthy scientist has built a time machine and he has set forth the following simple challenge. Step into his time machine and be transported back into the middle of a jungle in Africa at night in the year 75 million B.C. You will be given a rifle and some rounds. You must remain there for merely one hour and then you may return. You may not be stationary the entire time you are there. Now ofcourse you may not encounter any problems at all while you are there, or you may. It all depends on your luck. Once you are gone you may not return untill the one hour is up under any circumstances. If you agree to the terms when you return to the present day you will be given $100 million dollars by the wealthy inventor . Will you do it?

What are your feelings on a Blue Cross CEO making $4 million a year?
Posted by in One Million Years B.C. - (14 Comments)Doesn’t this article prove Obama’s point about health care and the need for major reforms? I can’t see where anyone has such a demanding job that he’s worth $4 million a year. Obama only makes $400,000 a year. Why are people so against giving the health care industry a run for it’s money by allowing Americans to have another place to turn to for health care besides BC/BS which refused to release this guy’s insane retirement package after only 11 years on the job ? Are they ashamed of it? Do people really believe that one man getting $4 million a year has nothing to do with outrageous fees that have forced small businesses to forego health insurance for it’s employees and left 43 million people uninsured and this is just one guy in the company. If he made $44 million in 11 years roughly, how many lives could have been saved that were denied coverage?
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The top executive of North Carolina’s largest health insurer is retiring after 11 years as president and CEO. Blue Cross last week declined to release details of Greczyn’s retirement package. His compensation was nearly $4 million in 2008, the last year the not-for-profit company made available.
Blue Cross is the health insurer for almost 40 percent of the state’s population. It said annual revenues tripled and membership nearly doubled to 3.7 million members during Greczyn’s tenure.
