Armenians have a very stong and respectable culture. Very peaceful and hard working people. Their roots go as far as 7000 years B.C. current day royalty including Princess Diana and the future king have been traced to having Armenian roots. Armenians have root in Jerusalem where there are four sections, (Muslim secion, Christian Secion, Hebrew Secion, and the only one seperated with culture is the Armenian secion), Church influence in Ethiopia, Monesterie in Italy, and respect around the world including in Columbia who recpectfully named the City where coffee grows Armenia, Mexico & Argentina and other South American coutries who were amongst the 1st to recognized the Armenian Genocide commited by Turkey who killed 2.5 Million Armenians. All of Europe has accepted this and commemorated it except for Turkey who have noted April 24 a day of celebration (mockery) whereas in Armenian it is the Day of remembrance of the Genocide. ARMENIANS ARE PROUD CHRISTIANS, humble & proud…
It is unfortunate that in Turkey they Don’t teach Turkish people about the genocide so that they dont assume it ever happened. All the Displaced Armenians in Turkey are due to Turks who killed and conquered Armenian land including the famous Ararat Mountains, churches and rich preservations. Armenians were stuck because their homes and lands were located where the Turks invaded and were not able to flee and settled there. I would like to know that the Turks and Armenians could one day become friends but the treatment & the response from Turkish people towards these people have never been positive. The Armenians who live in Turkey have been compressed like sardines to a section of Turkey & have not been able to express themselves because the Turkish government will kill anyone who even attempts to talk about the Genocide. I know individuals who wanted to go the Turkey from Italy to film a movie about the Armenian Genocide 1915-1918 & Turkey destroyed their films before departing…
Armenia is considered Southern Europe. DID you know that Armenians were the first Christians in the World?

DO YOU HAVE ANY INTERESTING FACTS?
hi all. are there any new nurse grads out there who can empathize, or any seasoned nurses out there with tips for us newbies?
I graduated in may 2010, passed nclex in june 2010 and since then, i have been applying to nursing positions and nurse residency programs and have recieved an endless parade of rejection letters. I graduated cum laude, have excellent references, and i know i would be an asset to any unit that would hire me b/c i genuinely care about providing excellent and safe patient care.
The latest blow to my self confidence came today via email, when vanderbilt told me that they ‘are going to pursue candidates that more closely match the job description” for their residency program. I live in portland oregon and i flew more than halfway across the US to make it to the interview and then flew right back.
i dont want to come across as feeling entitled, but seriously. i feel like i would be an excellent candidate to any residency program or nursing unit and all that I am lacking is “2-3 years expereince.” However, the million dollar question of the day is: how can i get experience if no one will hire me? even the nursing homes want people with expereince!!!! Oh man, what is a girl like me to do?
thanks for letting me vent. comment below. slap me across the face if u think i need to stop whining and grow up, but please forgive me. its a gloomy pdx day and that email was the straw that broke the camel’s back…
No period for 8 months & not pregnant.. Whats wrong w/ me ?
Posted by in One Million Years B.C. - (3 Comments)i am having some concerns. i have been with my husband for 5 years now and we have been actively been trying to have a baby for a year now. i have not had my period in 8 months (& NO i am Not pregnant, believe me i have checked a million times) i was on birth control for 3 1/2 years and just got off of it b/c i didn’t have my period for a year while i was one it so i figured it was the birth control that was affecting me. when i got off of it i had my period twice and then haven’t now had it for 8 months going on 9. i have been to the doctors a couple times and They say that i am fine. they have checked all my level for everything u can think of. everything comes back normal time after time. they only things they tell me is that it is either my weight or stress. i am having a hard time dealing w/ that answer since no other part of me is affected by either. and i just have a hard time believeu can have so much stress for 8months that u do not get spotting or anything. i am getting really concerned that i might not even be able to have children b/c if you are not having ur period then obviouobviouslyre not ovulating.. me and my husband want a child and it scares me to think that that might not be possible. please if you have any input or advice or heard of a similar situation please let me know. Please no rude comments.
Yes, the iphone looks nicer but not everything is about looks. The Apple OS restricts users to one interface, one way to do things………you either follow apple’s rules or you can’t use their product. The google phone is utilitarian….it’s strength is function, not looks. Google OS will allow you to customize your phone in any manner you wish. Install anything. Run anything. Build anything. No borders.
Yes, I’m anti-apple……………..not b/c of the phone…………see below:
The first act Steve Jobs approved upon his return to Apple was to close its charity division. Apple’s revenues have totaled 25 billion. To this day, there still exists no such charitable division.
Google is worth 18.5 billion and has donated $750 million in the last 5 years.
There is worth in helping your fellow man. Filling your own pockets….what’s the point.
God bless, Bill Gates, too (an estimated 39 billion dollars all dedicated to charity).

Alexander the Great had a bottomless and extensive influence that lasted for centuries. He used a phalanx, his father’s Macedonian army, to draw the attention of his enemies while preparing the key charge that brought victory. Marching for eleven years and covering twenty-two thousand miles without losing a battle over the strongest foes of his time indicates that he was a legend and a fearless conqueror. What he truthfully wanted in his life was glory and heroism, rather than easy living and wealth. Alexander was a great man rather than a lucky man of his time.
In 356 B.C, Alexander was born in Pella, an ancient capital of Macedonia, to King Phillip and Olympia, princess of Epirus. At the age of thirteen, his parents hired a personal tutor, Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, logician and scientist, who thought him rhetoric and literature. The young boy had an interest in science, medicine and philosophy. Aristotle’s teaching soon came in play against other philosophers in India. When his father left to Byzantium to battle against rebels, he was left to rule Macedonia as a regent, someone who rules during the absence of a monarch. This position shows that he was already accomplished in battle at the age of sixteen.
Alexander the Great was a true visionary and leader who fought for larger pieces of territory around Asia, the Middle East and Africa. He was also a military genius of his time who attacked an army of Persians, (under King Darius III) and Greek hoplites, profoundly armed foot soldiers of ancient Greece who were on the Persian’s side and against Macedonians. Alexander’s forces killed 40,000 men and only 110 of his men were killed. When he was in Egypt, he was voluntarily made pharaoh because the Egyptian despised living under the Persian rule. He also conquered the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and found a Persian army of one million men. On October 1st, 331 B.C, his Macedonian men slaughtered them. They burned the royal palace and soon, the ancient Persian Empire fell. Of all the battles he had fought in, the greatest battle was against Porus of India, one of the greatest leaders. The Indians were defeated in a brutal battle even though they fought with elephants, animals the Macedonians haven’t seen before. Aristotle’s teaching helped when Alexander debated against Bhramin philosophers, who were famous for their wisdom. He was known as a legendary in India for his philosophy and fearless conquerors.
With his large, loyal and combative army, he united an area over twenty two million square miles. He setup a common system of currency for his entire realm, established many new cities and colonies, many of them that were named after him. An example of a city that was named after him was Alexandria in Egypt and Alexadropolis in Greece. A foundered city was even named after his dead horse, Bucephalus. Though the Greek culture was already expanding, he continued to expand from the polis to the unknown world of his time. He established many training programs to teach Persians about Greek and Macedonian culture.
Alexander the Great died in 323 B.C at the age of thirty three years due to a heavy drinking bout and swimming in a river from which he caught a fever. Despite the fact that he was an alcoholic, heavy drinking was a cherished tradition at the Macedonian court. Alexander was “great” in a sense because he had so much influence in history. Greece ruled the near east politically for three hundred years and culturally for one thousand years because of his actions. If he had lived longer, it was possible that he would have politically united the world. Alexander the Great deserved his title as he was very young who conquered most of the world. It was only lost when he died. He was the first king ever to the called “the Great”.
my teacher said it was awkward it didn’t analyze my thesis. help, can you please help me analyze this better with details? thanks
